Enhancing Information and Education about NATO in Conflict Affected Communities near the Occupation Line in Shida Kartli Region. Project dates: April – July, 2024
Targeted capacity-building and awareness-raising activities were implemented to achieve the project’s main goal: enhancing awareness of NATO-Georgia relationship values, strengthening the alliance’s public image in Georgia, and preventing anti-disinformation threats in villages near the administrative boundary line to Russian-occupied territories in Georgia.
An integrated training course and TOT “Youth Engagement for Euro-Atlantic Integration: Countering Disinformation and Propaganda Against NATO,  Training Sessions for youngsters, titled “Youth Engagement for Euro-Atlantic Integration: Countering Disinformation and Propaganda Against NATO,”  as well as an awareness-raising campaign through participation in local TVs in Shida Kartli have been successfully conducted.
Throughout the project, there was active engagement with local civil society organization representatives, young civic leaders, local media representatives, and youngsters from villages near the administrative boundary line to Russian-occupied territories in Shida Kartli region.
The project activities developed participants media literacy skills to fight anti-western disinformation and promoted a positive image of NATO as an organization and highlighted its role in the modern security environment. Also, it aimed to showcase the importance of Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration and the democratic development of the country.
