“Strengthening Youth Resilience: Combating Disinformation and Promoting European Aspirations in Conflict-Affected and Ethnic Minority Communities” with financial support from the Lithuanian Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid Fund. 2024
The Youth Center for Civil Development, with financial support from the Lithuanian Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid Fund, is implementing the project “Strengthening Youth Resilience: Combating Disinformation and Promoting European Aspirations in Conflict-Affected and Ethnic Minority Communities.” The project aims to promote democratic values in Georgia and combat disinformation by developing media literacy and advocacy skills among young people.
As part of the project, Media Literacy and Advocacy Training was held from November 9-11, 2024, and a Training of Trainers was conducted from November 18-20, 2024. The project involved young participants from the Kvemo Kartli and Shida Kartli regions, including those from ethnic minority communities and villages near the occupation line.
The events helped develop the knowledge and skills of young leaders, enabling them to carry out local awareness-raising activities about the threats of disinformation and act as peer educators in their communities.
