Enhancing Information and Education about NATO in Gardabani Municipality financed by NATO Public Diplomacy Division 1.06.2023 – 31.12.2023
The project aims to promote an understanding of NATO-Georgia’s relationship values, strengthen the Alliance’s public image, and prevent disinformation threats in the Kvemo Kartli region through capacity building of local civil society organizations and educational institutions, with a particular focus on ethnic minority rural youth in Gardabani municipality.Â
Project Implementation Period:Â June to December 2023
Project Activities:
- Training Course for Local Civil Society Representatives and Rural Youth “Civil Participation for Euro-Atlantic Integration: Countering Disinformation and Propaganda Against NATO”
- Training of Trainers for Local Civil Society Youth Leaders
- Â Seminar for Public School Teachers from Gardabani Municipality “Enhancing Information and Education About NATO in Public Schools”
- Visit to NATO Liaison Office Tbilisi
- Creating and Publishing Awareness-Raising Illustrated Posters and Digital Learning Materials
Through these activities, the project strives to strengthen NATO-Georgia relations, empower local youth and civil society in Gardabani municipality, and combat disinformation, ultimately fostering a better understanding of the Alliance and its significance in the modern security landscape.
The project is funded by NATO Public Diplomacy Division.
