EmpowerED: Promoting Media Literacy Among Youth Through V4 Expertise
From April 16-21, 2024, the Youth Center for Civil Development (YCCD) organized a training program in Georgia titled “EmpowerED: Promoting Media Literacy Among Youth Through V4 Expertise Exchange.”
The program brought together young activists and representatives from civil, educational, and media organizations from Georgia, Moldova, and Armenia to enhance their media literacy and combat disinformation.
Program Overview:
Module 1 (April 16-18): Training on Media Literacy and Combating Disinformation
Module 2 (April 19-21): Training of Trainers (ToT)
Expert contributions from Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Czechia, Moldova, and Armenia enhanced the learning environment with diverse perspectives.
The project was made possible through funding from the governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia via the International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe. Co-funding was provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.
