Georgian Youth Participated in “Be Challenged” Youth Exchange in Sweden
From February 14 to 22, 2025, a group of enthusiastic Georgian youngsters took part in the international youth exchange “Be Challenged” held in Sweden. The exchange brought together young people from Sweden, Spain, Georgia, and Slovenia to explore the most pressing challenges facing today’s youth and to creatively address them through innovative activities.
The sending organization from Georgia was YCCD Georgia, which supported the participation of Georgian youth in this enriching international experience.
Throughout the program, participants engaged in dynamic sessions and worked in mixed national teams to design and implement educational escape rooms focused on relevant social issues. The main themes included:
- Social Anxiety
- Self-Expression
- Crime and Gang Violence
- Racism
- Struggles to Find a Job
The exchange week was filled with creativity, intercultural learning, teamwork, and meaningful discussions. Participants not only developed valuable personal and professional skills but also had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of each other’s cultures and perspectives.
The program concluded with a public Escape Room Event in Örebro, where local young people visited and experienced the interactive escape rooms developed during the exchange. Each escape room conveyed strong social messages and was designed to raise awareness and stimulate dialogue among young people.
We are proud of the Georgian participants for their outstanding involvement, energy, and contribution throughout the project. Their engagement made a significant impact and demonstrated the importance of international cooperation in youth development.
The “Be Challenged” Youth Exchange was implemented by the Swedish organization Awesome People, within its Erasmus+ accreditation, in collaboration with partner organizations from participating countries. The project was supported by the Erasmus+ Programme through the Swedish National Agency.
