Media Literacy Workshop Held for Youngsters in Rustavi on 12 April

On April 12, 2025, an interactive workshop on media literacy was held in Rustavi, engaging local young people in critical discussions and practical exercises. The workshop aimed to strengthen their ability to navigate today’s complex information landscape and become more resilient to misinformation and propaganda.

Key questions such as “How can we become resilient to disinformation?”, “How do we recognize and combat fake news?”, and “How can we protect the truth to uphold democratic values?” guided the sessions. Participants had the opportunity to delve into these pressing topics through real-life examples and hands-on activities designed to develop their critical thinking and media analysis skills.

The workshop was organized within the framework of the project “Empowering Youth Resilience: Fighting Disinformation and Promoting European Aspirations in Conflict-Affected and Ethnic Minority Communities,” implemented by the Youth Center for Civil Development (YCCD). The initiative is supported by the Lithuanian Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid Fund.
