Media Literacy Workshop Successfully Held in Gori on 5 April for media activists

On April 5, 2025, media literacy workshop were successfully held in Gori, bringing together local media activists to explore the challenges and opportunities of navigating today’s information environment.

How can we raise a generation that is resilient to disinformation?
How do we combat fake news effectively?
How can we protect the truth and safeguard democratic values?

These timely and important questions guided the workshop sessions. Through practical examples and interactive group work, participants engaged in thoughtful discussions and explored ways to critically assess media content, build resilience, and uphold the principles of informed citizenship.

The workshops were organized as part of the project “Empowering Youth Resilience: Fighting Disinformation and Promoting European Aspirations in Conflict-Affected and Ethnic Minority Communities,” implemented by the Youth Center for Civil Development (YCCD). The initiative is supported by the Lithuanian Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid Fund.
